Lala Lajpat Rai Institute of Management is a private B-School located at Haji Ali Sea face surrounded by the Arabian Sea. The institute was established in 2006 and is recognized by the Government of Maharashtra. The courses offered by the institute are AICTE approved and affiliated with the University of Mumbai. LLIM is a member of the National Human Resource Development Network, Mumbai Chapter.

LLIM Mumbai has been ranked by various brands and magazines, for example, according to Civil Services Chronical Magazine, the institute has been ranked as A category in the 10th Chronicle B-School Survey 2019. LLIM has also been ranked 16th amongst Outstanding B-Schools of Excellence in India in CSR-GHRDC B-School Survey in November 2018 conducted by Competition Success Review-Global Human Resource Development Centre. Also, as per the survey conducted by The WEEK magazine in 2018, LLIM has been ranked 91st amongst India’s top 150 Best B-Schools.

The institute offers MMS - Master of Management Studies full-time course having a duration of two years. The students not only learn the theoretical aspects of a subject but also prepare and present projects enabling them to assimilate and gain more knowledge through self-learning.

The institute has a dedicated Career & Guidance Cell, which is in constant touch with the corporate world. The Career & Guidance Cell also organizes pre-placement sessions which provide an opportunity for the students to learn more about the organization, their operations, future growth, job opportunities, work culture, etc. The main aim of career cell is to match the students' expectations with the companies require to create a win-win situation for both. The institute Placement Cell helps in shaping the careers of students from their induction and orientation, summer internships, and live projects, right up to the final placements.

In order to groom the students, the institute offers various grooming activities for the students such as language laboratory, advanced laboratory, six sigma and many more.

There is a Women Development Cell at the institute which plays a very important role in developing self-confidence among girl students. Some of the events organized by the cell include a workshop on self-defence, competitions on the topics like Power Empowerment, Changing the role of a girl child, etc.
